Red Frog Beach

The next day suitably hungover, we made our way over to Red Frog Beach which again was another island and short boat ride away.

It was still pretty overcast & rainy, but we underestimated just how bad it was until we arrived at the beach. The waves were crazy, massive and were loudly crashing with an insane force. In fact, the weather was so bad that they had banned swimming due to the currents!

The beach is famous for the shocking red frogs that live there in the surrounding growth- hence the name! I expected the frogs to be 'normal frog size' (if there is such a thing) and just red, but even the fully grown ones were all tiny, with the largest one we saw being about the size of a 50p!

Whilst we were at the beach, we made the most of the little snack shack and ate a really tasty jerk chicken and pineapple sandwich for lunch, whilst watching the waves crash nearby. It was the perfect hangover food, which is just what we needed after our debaucherous night!
